Beta's tend to be ready when they are ready... I am sure you'd prefer them not to rush it out unfinished, wouldn't you? Roland have always been FAR more secretive and professional (never ever saw a Roland beta leaked) than Ketron when it comes to this. You only frustrate your customers even WORSE by pre-announcing a new OS long before it's ready to go. Plus, ironclad NDA's should be enforced. It only confuses things and leads to VERY bad press when a beta gets in the hands of the unaware public. Despite all the whining about missing features (I've done my share of it!), I think Ketron really should make an OS upgrade that deals with NOTHING but stability in the playback engine. I mean, what's the POINT of a sampler or style editing, if the basic style playback crashes? Sure, no NEW features is going to p!ss a bunch of owners off. But, trust me on this one (happened with the G70), nowhere NEAR as pissed off as they are going to be when new features get added, but old bugs and crashes still continue... Ketron... Job 1 is no crashes. Job 2 is NO crashes. Job 3 is (you guessed it!) NO CRASHES! Probably too late for OS3, but OS3.1 should be maintenance fixes ONLY.
